THE FIRST TEE OF HAWAII TO HOST FREE JUNIOR GOLF CLINIC SUNDAY, JULY 7th at HOAKALEI COUNTRY CLUB

Hundreds of Hawaii keiki ages 5 through 17 will have the opportunity to learn golf skills from local professionals at The First Tee of Hawaii Shootout Junior Golf Clinic on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach.

The clinic is free and open to the public from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available for children and adults.  Instructors will include 1987 US Open Champion Scott Simpson and also will feature professional contests, including Long Drive and Short Game competitions.

Participants can register online below.  The first 100 keiki to sign up will receive a special gift and the opportunity to hit balls on the range during the first 45 minutes of the event.

The Clinic is the kickoff event for the 4th Annual First Tee of Hawaii Shootout, which will run through Wednesday, July 10.  This professional golf tournament features a $38,000 total purse with $14,000 to the Champion while raising funds for The First Tee of Hawaii.  Registration is now open for all men and women golf professionals.  The tournament is open to the public to walk the course.  Admission and parking are free.

Past Champions include Jason Jakovac in 2013, Scott Simpson in 2017 and Jared Sawada in 2018.
